The Presentation: We all know the chilling rhyme, “Lizzie Borden took an ax…” but how much do you really know about the true story behind America’s most infamous murder mystery? 40 Whacks: The Lizzie Borden Case is a gripping one-hour presentation that explores the shocking 1892 double homicide through rare archival materials, period newspapers, courtroom drama, and haunting photographs. Packed with fascinating details and surprising revelations, this entertaining program dives into the lingering questions surrounding Lizzie Borden and the case that still captivates true crime fans and history lovers more than a century later.
The Speaker: Christopher Daley has spent more than 30 years presenting engaging historical lectures throughout New England and, more recently, virtually across the United States. A retired history teacher with degrees in Political Science and History from Bridgewater State University, Chris has also served in leadership roles with several historical organizations and appeared as a historical consultant on programs for the Travel Channel. He is the author of Murder and Mayhem in Boston: Historic Crimes in the Hub and has been featured as a historian on programs exploring the Lizzie Borden case. Chris and his wife Cathy, who serves as DaleyHistory’s photographer and research partner, recently relocated to Citrus Springs, Florida.
