The Presentation: Experience the darker side of the Sunshine State with this immersive, story-driven journey into Florida’s most historic and unsettling hauntings. Haunted History of Florida blends folklore, eyewitness accounts, and real historical events to uncover the eerie legends hiding beneath the state’s sunny reputation. Travel from the ancient corridors of Castillo de San Marcos and the haunted grounds of Dade Battlefield Historic State Park to the infamous Ma Barker House, where shadows of the 1935 FBI shootout are said to linger. The presentation also explores the ghostly glamour of the Biltmore Hotel and the legendary Cuban Club, long associated with phantom sightings and tragic tales from Florida’s past. Fascinating, atmospheric, and filled with surprising true stories, this multimedia presentation offers a chilling look at the people, places, and mysteries that continue to haunt the state today. 

The Speaker: Christopher Daley has spent more than 30 years presenting engaging historical lectures throughout New England and, more recently, virtually across the United States. A retired history teacher with degrees in Political Science and History from Bridgewater State University, Chris has also served in leadership roles with several historical organizations and appeared as a historical consultant on programs for the Travel Channel. He is the author of Murder and Mayhem in Boston: Historic Crimes in the Hub and has been featured as a historian on programs exploring the Lizzie Borden case. Chris and his wife Cathy, who serves as DaleyHistory’s photographer and research partner, recently relocated to Citrus Springs, Florida.
