Celebrate the season with a festive day trip to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, where thousands of twinkling lights transform the grounds into a magical winter wonderland. Stroll through beautifully illuminated displays surrounding the Grand Outdoor Arena, offering countless opportunities for memorable holiday photos. From sparkling pathways to glowing décor, every corner is designed to capture the spirit of the season.

Guests will enjoy free time to explore at their own pace, with plenty to see and do throughout the evening. Browse seasonal shopping, indulge in festive fare and holiday sweets, and take in the lively atmosphere filled with “enchanted entertainment,” including caricature artists, face painters, balloon artists, and more. Special appearances by The Grinch  and Santa add even more charm and cheer to the experience.

Before arriving at the lights, we’ll make a stop at Horse & Hounds Restaurant for a relaxed early dinner on your own. Guests may order directly from the menu and enjoy a casual, social start to the evening before heading into the festivities.

This trip is the perfect way to enjoy the magic of the holidays without the stress of driving, offering a joyful evening filled with lights, laughter, and seasonal charm!

SCHEDULE:

2:15 PM – Depart Activity Center
3:30 PM – Arrive at restaurant for late lunch/early dinner
5:00 PM – Depart for World Equestrian Center
5:15 PM – Arrive and enjoy holiday lights and free time
7:30 PM – Depart World Equestrian Center
8:45 PM (approx.) – Return to Activity Center

Mobility & Accessibility: This trip includes moderate walking. At World Equestrian Center (WEC), guests will be exploring large, open areas with paved walkways and some distance between attractions. While the property is expansive, the holiday experience is centered around one main area, making it easy to navigate at your own pace. Seating is available throughout, but not always immediately nearby. Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Dining at Horse & Hounds: Dinner will be on your own. Guests may order directly from the full menu, with separate checks. While the restaurant staff will do their best to seat our group together (or in close proximity) this cannot be guaranteed. Please allow for a relaxed dining experience as service times may vary with a group of our size.

Holiday Experience & Layout: The holiday experience is centered around the Grand Outdoor Arena and surrounding plaza, where you’ll find dazzling light displays, festive décor, and countless photo opportunities. For your convenience, a map has been created on Page 2. Guests will be dropped off near the main event area, placing you right in the heart of the festivities. From there, you can explore at your own pace. Most attractions are within a short walking distance of one another.
